Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what Ebosi Technologies Corp. (“Ebosi”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Ebosi supports non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), ride-hailing, and courier services — so parts of this policy address protected health information (PHI) handled under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Placeholder notice. This document is a template and is not legal advice. Final language should be reviewed by qualified counsel and your privacy officer before publication.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, payment details), trip information (pickup and drop-off locations, ride times, ratings), device and app data (identifiers, crash logs, approximate location), and — for medical transportation — limited protected health information received from the arranging healthcare provider, broker, or managed care organization.
2. HIPAA & protected health information
When Ebosi provides NEMT or related services on behalf of a covered entity, we act as a Business Associate under HIPAA and enter into a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with that entity. We use and disclose PHI only as permitted by the BAA and applicable law, apply administrative, physical, and technical safeguards consistent with the HIPAA Security Rule, and follow the Privacy Rule's minimum necessary standard — sharing with drivers only the information needed to complete the trip safely (e.g., pickup, drop-off, accessibility needs, and special instructions).
3. How we use information
We use information to dispatch and complete rides, process payments, communicate with you, meet contractual and legal obligations, keep the platform safe, and improve the service. We do not use PHI for marketing.
4. How we share information
We share information with drivers (to complete your trip), service providers acting on our behalf under written agreements, and with healthcare partners and brokers that arrange your rides. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights and safety of riders, drivers, and the public. We do not sell personal information.
5. Data retention & security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations. Security controls include encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, background checks for personnel with access to PHI, audit logging, and a documented incident-response program.
6. Your rights & choices
You can update your account details in the app, request access to or deletion of personal information, and opt out of marketing communications. For PHI held on behalf of a covered entity, requests for access or amendment are directed to that entity per HIPAA. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws.
7. Children
Ebosi is not directed to children under 13. Minors ride with an adult or with the authorization of a caregiver or care coordinator in accordance with the arranging provider's policies.
8. Changes to this policy
We will post material changes to this policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance.
